Technical
Specification
Fire Resistance
Systems can be up-rated, if required, to meet
BS 476 Parts 22 & 7 - the standard 'half our test' and spread-of-flame
criteria. Classes 0 & 1 can be obtained through minor modifications
to the core product.
Thermal Resistance
Typical values are: U=1.08 w/m2 K, assuming
rock wall is inserted into the panel.
Sound
Monobloc construction and assembly methods
together with the particle density of the chipboard makes the
sound transmission properties of the panels good. When independently
tested the system achieved 38db over the speech range a higher
performance is achieved through the 70mm system. For particularly
sound sensitive areas, a double wall is recommended.
Weight Loading
Tested against the criteria of BS 5268 (part
2) the panels withstood a design load of 2.45 KN/m run or 250
kilos per linear metre run.
Panels
The panel substrate consists of two , 625/m3
density, 15mm chipboard sheets, using flax slats to make up 50mm
or 70mm thick panels. The standard panel width is 1.2m; standard
heights are 2.44m, 2.74m, 3.05m, 3.66m. Multiple tier installations
up to 9m high are often installed.
Finishes
Panels are decorated with a pure vinyl sheet
of polyurethene-coated polymid fabric, 190 microns thick. The
material is heat bounded, under pressure, to the chipboard substrate.
Timber profiles are finished with an acid-catalyst lacquer; aluminium
profiles are either satin-anodised to bS 1615 or powder-coated
to RAL or BS standards.
Health and Safety
The company regards its operation of a proper
Health and Safety Policy in its manufacturing resource as a priority.
COSHH and CDM reports are kept updated and available to the Company's
clients. |
